Rooke School of KarateStudent Info COVID-19

UPDATE FOR OUR STUDENTS

Hello Rooke School of Karate Students and Parents.

We wanted to say that we are most proud of our dojo and what it represents. Our students have proven that even through much uncertainty at this time, they have continued to persevere and adapt.

Now that we are able to finally open with classes resuming on June 15, we look forward to having most of you with us during the summer months. All students and parents have been emailed our COVID Protocols as required by the Provincial Government that we have developed for our school. It is a guideline as to how we must maintain the social distance requirements, please read through these with your children, make sure they understand them as they are for the safety of all of us.

There may be times where we will be able to do our training outside, weather dependent, and it may not be announced.

KARATE ALBERTA

We are current members of Karate Alberta. Every year each student must submit Karate Alberta Fees of $40.00 per year. This year’s fees are due in November and need to be submitted to the Rooke School of Karate by Nov 30, 2018. Anyone yellow belt or above must be a member. If you have not registered yet see Kim for a form. Being members of Karate Alberta helps support our style in the competitive arena and allows our students who want to compete the opportunity to do it not only provincially but also nationally.

STUDENT CREED

Remembering that the martial arts begin and end with respect, I intend to:

  1. Develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health.
  2. Develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
  3. Use what I learn in class constructively and defensively, to help myself and my fellow man and never to be abusive or offensive.

Print off your own copy of the Student Creed.
