14 and up All Ranks 7:00-8:00
Weather permitting, if it’s raining classes will be at the dojo.
Sensei Steve and Kim will be away June 15 – June 30. Therefore, Sempi Ryland will run the Monday classes and we have arranged Guest Instructors to run the Thursday classes. There are no classes on Tuesday, June 18 and 25. Kobudo make up classes will be July 2 and 9 – 6:00-7:00.
We run classes all summer. The Summer Schedule will begin Thursday, July 4. Please note that class times this summer are by rank, not age.
If you are planning on taking July and/or August off, please let us know asap. Classes will be on Monday and Thursday only. Dojo will be closed July 1st, August 5th, and September 2nd for the long weekends.
We are reserved for July 12-14 at Cross Lake Provincial Park Group Site. This is a weekend for families, that camp or RV, to gather for some fun getting to know each other. There are 20 sites available. Families that do not camp are welcome to come for the day on Saturday. Contact Kim with questions or to book a spot.
Anyone 8 years old and red belt or higher can add Kobudo (weapons training) to their karate training. You can take a free month to try it in your white gi with dojo weapons. Beginner Package $170.00 includes black gi, sai, and 1st months fees. Beginner fees are $25.00 per month, Advanced fees are $50.00 per month, four classes a month.Family discounts will apply. Beginner Kobudo runs Tuesdays 7:00-7:30pm.
Our next Karate Kids session for 4/5 year olds runs Tuesdays starting April 9 to June 11 (excluding April 30) from 5:30-6:00pm. The cost of this session is $100.00 plus uniform ($45) if needed. If you know of anyone interested in joining please contact us at info@rookekarate.com.
We are current members of Karate Alberta. Every year each student must submit Karate Alberta Fees of $40.00 per year. Contact us at info@rookekatate.com for info on fees and deadlines. Anyone yellow belt or above must be a member. If you have not registered yet see Kim for a form. Being members of Karate Alberta helps support our style in the competitive arena and allows our students who want to compete the opportunity to do it not only provincially but also nationally.
