Students 8 years old and red belt or higher can add Kobudo (weapons training) to their karate training. Registration is $50.00 Youth and $60.00 Adult and includes Bo (first weapon), Gi and your second months training. Monthly fees are then $40.00 for four classes per month. Family discounts will apply.

Kobudo runs Wednesdays 7:30-8:45pm. **NO CLASSES Nov 13**

Fall Classes Begin

Welcome back to all the students who took the summer off. We hope everyone had a safe, relaxing and fun summer. Our Fall schedule begins Sept 4, 2019. Please see the attached schedule as there may be some changes that effect you. There will no longer be sparring classes on Saturdays in an effort to include all students in this training.
Sparring nights are: Sept 9 & 26, Oct 7 & 24, Nov 7 & 18, Dec 5 & 16
Please bring your gear to these classes.

Karate Pictures

SDI Digital is scheduled to take student karate photos on Monday Sept 23. Individual photos are optional but we would like ALL students to attend their scheduled time so they are included in the group photo.

Location: the Dojo – No regular classes

  • 6:00 pm – Karate Kids (Orange Belts), White Belts, and Yellow Blets
  • 6:15 pm – Youth Blue, Red, and Purple Belts
  • 6:45 pm – Kobudo All Ranks Group Photo

These times are just averages and will fluctuate based on the amount of students who attend. Please be prepared to order and pay on this evening. Be punctual but not to early as space is limited. Family shots will be done with the youngest student.

This years fees are due in Nov and need to be submitted to the Rooke School of Karate by Nov 30, 2019. Anyone yellow belt or above must be a member. If you have not registered yet see Kim for a form. STUDENT CREED

Remembering that the martial arts begin and end with respect, I intend to:

  1. Develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health.
  2. Develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
  3. Use what I learn in class constructively and defensively, to help myself and my fellow man and never to be abusive or offensive.

Print off your own copy of the Student Creed.
