Karate Alberta
We are proud to cheer on Sempi Veronica Palmer, Doris Trkulja, and Vera Trkulja at this years Nationals tournament in Richmond, BC from April 1-6. Wish them good luck if you see them!
If you want to try out for the Karate Alebrta Team the next Qualifier is May 31 – June 1 in Calgary. See Kim if you have any questions.
Dojo Closed
The dojo will be closed on Monday, April 21 for Easter Long Weekend.
Desa’s Spirit of the North Training & Tournament
This year Desa School of Karate’s annual Spirit of the North Training and Tournament will include special guest instructors Sensei Mason Bergeron and Sensei Mike Nazar. Sensei hopes everyone will plan to attend as this is one of the best training opportunities of the year! Registrations are now available at https://www.spiritofthenorth.net. Check your emails for more info!
The Rooke Dojo will be closed during this event.
Kobudo
Anyone 8 years old and red belt or higher can add Kobudo (weapons training) to their karate training. You can take a free month to try it in your white gi with dojo weapons. Beginner Package is $170 and includes a black gi, sai, and 1st months fees. Fees are $50 per month, for four classes. Family discounts will apply.
Kobudo runs Tuesdays 6:30pm – 7:30pm.
Karate Kids – 4 & 5 Year Olds
Our next Karate Kids session for 4/5 year olds runs Tuesdays from April 1 to Mat 3 (excluding April 29) from 6:00pm – 6:30pm. The cost of this session is $80.00 plus uniform if needed. If you know of anyone interested in joining please contact us at info@rookekarate.com.
