Events & Information

2026 Classes Begin

Happy New Year to all of our students. We hope everyone had a safe, relaxing and fun holiday. Our 2026 schedule begins Jan. 5, 2026. Please see the attached schedule for your class times.

Kobudo

Anyone 8 years old and red belt or higher can add Kobudo (weapons training) to their karate training. You can take a free month to try it in your white gi with dojo weapons. Beginner Package $170.00 includes black gi, sai and 1st months fees. Fees are $50.00 per month, for four classes. Family discounts will apply.
Kobudo runs Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm.

Karate Kids Session (4 & 5 years old)

Our next Karate Kids session for 4/5 year olds runs Tuesdays Jan. 13 – Mar. 17 (excludes Feb. 17) from 6:00-6:30pm. The cost of this session is $90.00 plus uniform if needed.

Dojo Closed – Feb. 16-20

Due to being closed for this week in February the Dojo will remain open for both school divisions Spring Break weeks.

Desa Karate Tournament – Feb. 7 at Desa Karate

Registration forms have been emailed. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this event.

Monthly Bottle Drive – First Monday of the Month

Our monthly bottle drives will continue on the first Monday of the month. Please save your bottles and bring them to the dojo or ask to have your refund be added to the Rooke School of Karate directly at the Morinville Bottle Depot. The funds go to the RSK Fund to help lower fees to things like the Spirit of the North/Koshukai events.
